  1. It is the most modern approach to science. We can take a look at things at a molecular level. For example - we study the motion of atoms in solids, liquids, and gases.

    As opposed to Qualitative approach (which was developed by the Greeks). They reasoned, but lacked experimentation.


  2. Quantitative is numeric.  It is fact based.  You can't argue that there aren't 7 oranges when there are 7 oranges on the table.

    Qualitative is observation.  It *can* be subjective.  While I will tell you that the song on the radio makes me want to dance, someone else will tell you that that same song makes them want to puke.
