Wat brand of rat food is best?

my friend has a male rat and has looked up stuff about their diet and has read that it is better to get them block food instead of mixed food, but to make sure the main ingrediant isnt corn, but he cant seem to find any. what brand should he use?

i actually use a mixed food and my rats really like it, so i can't advise you as to brands of lab blocks, but i just wanted to mention that your friend should really not be keeping one rat by itself.  they are very smart and social animals, and will get lonely and depressed if they have to spend a lot of time with nobody to interact with.  all the time that you're away from home during the day can make the rat very lonely, and he will be much happier if he has a friend to hang out with, not to mention to groom his hard-to-reach spots! :)
