  1. In the beginning there was welter and waste and darkness over the deep and God's breath hovering over the waters. And God said "Let there be chickens."

And God gave the chickens dominion over dry land and seas and plants and trees which grew fruit with seed; the sun, moon and stars in the firmament.

And then humans began to emerge from 'neath the dust and thus began a "survival of the fittest" genetic war between man and chicken which raged on for centuries until the last of the armies of men were defeated.

From then on the chickens established their control over the entire world, crushing the humans underfoot and initiating a worldwide genocidal campaign of "cullings" in which millions of men died, starting with Noah and the Geico caveman.

And then in the humans' darkest hour, God sent them his only son - Chuck Norris. And he was immediatly anointed as ruler and savior of humanity. For Norris was only one of three divine persons, or hypostases, of the Holy Trinity - the other two being Lone Wolf McQuade and Cordell Walker, Texas Ranger.

And Norris did appear unto the chickens in a transfigured state, with unearthly, brilliant white clothes and said ... "LET MY PEOPLE SNOW!!!"

And the chickens did say onto him..."Wha the f***?"

And Lord Chuck replied "Errr....GO. Sorry, forgot my line, I mean't - Let my people go!"

When they refused, he imprisoned them inside a semipermeable membrane, and he did call it an eggshell. And it was good.

And he declared - "All my father's people are now free. The chickens shall now never leave their imprisonment.......unless you ever decide to invent omelettes. Especially those Texas-style omelettes with the thick slices of French toast filled with hickory bacon. Maybe with some sauteed mushrooms and spinach. That is truly a breakfast fit for God/Allah/Buddah/Pink Unicorn himself."

And so the Lord Chuck roundhouse-kicked a couple of trees, constructed an ark and sailed back to heaven. Or Crawford as it's now known. And civilisation began anew.

So to answer your question - the chicken.

  2. none because the chicken evolved from a micro organism

  3. The egg! Dinosaurs came first and they came from an egg, therefor, the egg was first! haha

  4. Neither for they do not exist they are both figments of you imagination. Return to us you are just imagining things again.

    Look at me.

I am your doctor and you are in the hospital.

  5. The egg. It evolved long before chickens, or even birds. Fish lay eggs, Dinosaurs laid eggs!

  6. I think the chicken because God put two of everything on the earth to procreate..............................

  7. dude, this is sooooo old..........the egg mcmuffin - duh!

  8. do a search for previous answers, this 'impossible' question comes up a dozen times a week, since YA! began

If you believe in evolution, the egg came first

if you are a nutty creationist, the chicken came first

  9. neither it slowly evolved from a single celled organism and therefore there were many things before the chicken or the egg,

  10. The chicken

  11. the turkey

  12. Yawn

  13. well, it's the egg because dinosaur's laid eggs before chickens were created through evolution. but chickens came before chicken eggs

  14. circle has no start.

  15. the egg...well really both...but if i had 2 choose...it wud be egg...!

  16. oooh this question!! i guess nobody has a right answer.

    and others, the chicken

  17. only god knows..

  18. God created a mother b4 a baby

    so its the chicken

  19. in your sentence the chicken came first ... LOL

  20. the chicken of course...no egg came first. in anyways either through scientific or biblical.

  21. I honestly believe that the chicken came first - because I can't really see God sitting on an egg, to hatch it.

  22. Neither did. Evolution came first.

  23. the egg...because the egg is what made the chicken hahahahaha...its allll philosophy mate!!!

  24. the chickens own egg

  25. The chicken, because some other animal would ahve evolved into a chicken so from that point of view, the chicken!

Also the chicken IS the egg so yea!

  26. So a chicken and an egg got married and were enjoying their first night as newlyweds.  After some hot passionate s*x, the chicken says to the egg "Well, I guess we know the answer to that age old question"

  27. How about using proper spelling to pose a question? You should start with a capitol W and spell "What" not "wat". Next you need a comma after the word "first". Next, you ran "or " and "the" together to make "o rthe". Lastly you only need one question mark. I usually wouldn't notice but since you bothered to spell other words correctly, why not put forth a little effort and act like you have an education?

As for the question itself, once again, act like you have an education and think for a minute. Whether you believe in creation or evolution, there is only one possible answer. Your belief in a fact does not change the fact itself. Only one thing happened way back a long time ago so a person's belief in that fact can not change it.

Animals that lay eggs must lay eggs for more of the same animals to exist. So the animal, in this case, a chicken, came first. Even if all things came from a single-cell organism, an egg is a product of an animal containing ANOTHER animal. God did put things in motion a long time ago and created organisms to clean up what plants and animals leave behind. As those organisms and plants and animals live, procreate, and consume food and energy, their environment changes and they must change to remain in the environment. So, in many generations of animals, they change to be smaller or have feathers instead of scales. Some call this "evolving". Then a jump in imagination makes one think one thing evolves into a completely different thing. But never one thing into an EGG of another thing.

The other answers of eggs in general coming before chickens has some validity, but they were just being sassy.

For the argument here, the chicken came before the chicken egg.

  28. imagine we have a creature called a prechicken.

Prechicken lays eggs that hatch into other prechickens.

However one day, due to genetic mutations, an egg the prechicken has laid hatches into a chicken.

In this case the egg was laid by a prechicken but hatched into a chicken.

So your question needs further definition. If the egg you are refering to is a prechicken egg or a chicken egg ?

If chcken egg then the chicken came first

If the egg is the prechickens egg then the egg came first

Changes in genetic structure happen all the time

  29. i don't know :)
