Wat can i feed a parakeet for a snack

i gave my baby parakeet a grape he took one bite and got sick he is ok now but wat can i give him

fruits,salad mix,hard boiled egg,sweet potato,cooled rice(Be careful! squash it just incase it gets choked! squash it to medium sized crums

My birds love chopped carrots, apples

angel hair pasta with a tad bit of butter on it....

the only thing you should never ever give your bird is chocolate, caffeine or avocado's...

this is poisonous for them...

My birds also love graham crackers...

heck, my birds will eat just about anything now...

Wow, lots of things...Bananas, apples, no seeds tho...Melon, fresh veggies, even cooked veggies.  Try something and see how it goes.  Hard boiled eggs are good.  You could try yogurt.  Have you tried millet seed ?  Most birds love that.  You can buy it in a pet store.

Just no honey, pits, avocado, chocolate, onions or garlic.  Sometimes you have to offer something a bunch of times before they will even try it.  Hope I helped.

i tried giving my parakeet grapes..didnt work either

so i've been giving them lettuce and bread crumbs which they absolutely love! i hope this helps :)

-cheerios (whole grain) mine dies for them

-almonds

-corn puffs

-rice puffs

-peanut butter cookies

-banana chips

-rasins

-dried cranberrys

-nut mixes

-multi grain bars

-sezme snaps (in moderation as a snack)

just make sure all this has low sugar, salt, and fat. with no chocolate and stuff like that.

No avocado or papaya. It is poisonous to them.

Raw clean vegetables is okay.

Apples, oranges, brocolli, carrots, popcorn, cereal (unsweetened), corn, peas, fish, egg, spinach, rice. Lettuce has no nutrients and will cause loose droppings.

any kind of fruits, vegetables, pretty much anything that grows out of the ground. i wouldnt give your baby parakeet snacks yet id keep on the seed for a while till you start giving him snacks. :)
