Hey.. I am terribly sorry about your loss.. I know what it is like to lose a good friend, and at the moment you need to focus on how you are feeling and try not to hold it all inside, everyone needs someone to talk to, someone who will listen.  Dont lock people out in this time, remember everyone around you will want to help you get through this.  I cant answer your question as everyone deals with grief differently.. My best advice is what I have just written, remember there are people out there for you, if you lock yourself away, the pain will never go.

I just lost my best friend...it was my dog...and she was very very sick so I had to treat everything as if this was or has already happened. Because its life and it does happen, if its a human, dog, cat, dont matter. What matters is how much time you spent with that person that made her/him your best friend,,,do u see where I am coming from?

It was hard for me as it is for you, you have to look at this in a whole new way...I have to as well.
