The basic print of the architecture of Chandigarh is very good, but the administration and (sorry to say) the residents of Chandigarh are not taking good care of it, by way of maintaining it. Administration is waking up late and slow in responding to the needs whereas the commercialisation is leading to significant alterations, modifications in certain areas. With Mohali and Panchkula becoming almost equally populated and crowded, these three cities / towns need a mass and rapid public transport system fast interconnecting them. The city bus services won't survive for long in efficiency in view of the pace of growth.

I think the architecture of Chandigarh is stuck in a time warp. Most of the buildings were built in the same period - so they all have that 80's prem chand, junk garden look.

But atleast it's well planned and the traffic is not too bad.

Sorry, I don't know abt the bus system.., but you can ask me anything about DTC!

da grid system's ok n its gud dat they've started da modern taxi stuff too......but if surely need 2 hav more mall's n multiplexes.....i mean v hardly hav ne variety of hangout's n places 4 shoppin....FR's far 2 borin....n they kinda need 2 hav sumthing done 2 reduce da growin traffic...its not much rite now compared 2 oder cities but in a small city like ours it rather not incfease so much!!!....yea n abt da changes....wel start by changin da name frm chandigarth 2 chandigarh in here.........lol!!!

the grid system is great but only has one flaw, earlier there used to buses every few minutes, now we have to stand for about at least 15 - 20 minutes to take the bus..besides that, i love the city and don't think any more is required, the IT park is coming out fine, though having something like a monorail would be soo coool.
