  1. I have loved it since I first read it many years ago. I still have an old paperback which is turning yellow.  Ms. Stewart wrote a sequel, but i can't remember its name.

If you liked it, you would probably like:

"The Once and Future King" by T.H. White

"The sword in the Stone" by White

And the "Pendragon" series by Stephen Lawhead.

  2. I adored it and all the others in the series.  So glad to know that someone else did.  Have you read Susan Cooper's Dark is Rising series?  They're set in modern Britain but are based on British folklore.  I think you'd enjoy them.

EDIT- the others in the Crystal cave series are

    The Hollow Hills

    The Last Enchantment

    The Wicked Day

  3. pretty good attempt to do a "realistic" version of the Arthur tale, seems like fifty of these have come out since this one was published.  Unfortunately, the series goes down hill.

  4. And I thought I was the only one who read it!

I really enjoyed it too. It was an excellent take on Merlin and King Arthur.

Kudos on choosing a great book!
