Wat do you people think of Someone who does ACTING for a LIVING??

They will be learning how, & putting alot of energy into pretending, whatever that entails.

There is a lot of risk & reward in that field. Overall, I suppose it requires talent, to be a good actor. If one is successful, it can be rewarding, & pay well. But I think the odds are 1,000 to 1.

Spending a lot of time learning to emulate another may lead to difficulty in authentically being yourself, altho that's just an opinion. They will definitely learn TEAMWORK. That's a good skill to acquire.

Well, I like me. I also like my girlfriend...and my friends...we're all actors...although, I suppose that, given it's so hard to get a job that lasts any longer than a couple of months, it's not really 'for a living'. It's more a big part of my life.

I envy people who do it for a living. When day job disappears to be replaced by acting alone...that's the goal really.
