  1. A poltergeist is a ghost that throws and knocks over things.Usually the work of a child looking for attention.Ouija boards you can buy at Toys R Us or KB Toys. They are great fun. Some silly people think they can summon spirits and such. It's easy and a lot of fun scaring them.

  2. Well, it refers to things being thrown, supposedly by some unseen entity, etc.

However, any phenomena such as this that is not actually produced by fraud, can be explained by  static electricity,  electromagnetic fields,  ultra/infra sound, ionized air, etc.   Several have been caught and confessed to being the "poltergeist".  So I would suggest that it is pretty much fraud.

And most scientist say that the phenomena is caused by self delusion and hoaxes.   And this is probably the most likely explanation I would think.

Ouija boards are games that can be purchased at places like Toys R Us, Wal Mart, etc.  They are controlled by the people using them, and not some unseen spirit, but are fun nevertheless.  Just don't let your mind play tricks on you.

  3. iT BASICALLY MEANS  AN ACTIVE NUMBER OF SPIRITS IN  AN AREA. A POLTERGEIST IS USUALLY CENTERED AROUND ONE PERSON  AND GO AWAY ON THEIR OWN.YOU CAN GET OUIJA BOARDS AND ANY DEPT STORE .

  4. I believe poltergeist is German for "playful ghost" so it would be a ghost that plays tricks. OUIJA boards are on sale all over the Internet. Check out eBay for some cool vintage ones and many toy stores carry them in the board game area. Have fun!

  5. A poltergeist just means that whatever is called that is a ghost, and most to stores that sell board games sell ouija boards. Just call before you go because some may not.

  6. a poltergeist is a mischievous spirit, the kind who takes things, moves thing, knocks on walls, that sort of thing.

Ouija boards you can buy in a toy store believe it or not, but I'd leave them alone.

  7. A poltergist is any kind of ghost, and I bought my glow in the dark ouija board from Spencer's at the mall, I hung it up on top of my room cieling so I can see it glow in the dark, I could of sworn that night when I woke up to pee, I saw a glowing body shaped form sitting near my couch, it was red.

  8. A) A Poltergeist (a german term meaning a ghost that rumbles or makes noises) is usually the term given to a ghost with a malicious will. In theory, most ghosts only manifest sounds or vissages. They are usually completely detached from the material world, and usually fade when approched or noticed by it as most (it is believed) are echos left by a life. The term Poltergeist, on the other hand, is in reference to a ghost that can and often does affect the material world. These are the ghosts most often are the type refered to in hauntings (because most others don't cause enough of a disturbance to be noticed). It is believed most died under tragic or horrific circumstances and usually with a grudge. These are the "dangerous" ghosts who will hurt you if they can. They will throw small objects (books, lamps, knives) at you and can manifest wind inside the house and extreme cold spots. If encountered, your best bet is to aquire the services of a professional exorcist.

    2) You can pick up a ouija board at any toy store or walmart. It is in the board game sections. There is nothing mystical about them at all. The metaphysics of it comes from the will and focus you put into it. You could print one off and make a pointer from a piece of paper and it would work (or not work) just as well as ones bought at Toys-R-Us or ones passed down through pagan orders for centuries. A focus (wand, penical, ouija board, etc) is nothing without something being focused through it. It is your channeling that activates something into motion or catches the notice of answering spirits.

    ***A WARNING***

DO NOT get a ouija board with the intention of contacting a poltergiest!! If you are dealing with one, then chances are it could SERIOUSLY hurt you if you open a path inside yourself that it can exploit. Moreover, it could lead to (if it is strong enough) possession - or some dilluted form of possession or intense suggestion. If you think the ghost is there and is strong enough to affect the material world then I STRONGLY recomend against tackling contact or exorcism yourself.

If you need further advice, you can e-mail me.
