  1. hitting the ball against the wall alot of times

  2. well, here is some good excercises:

well, i am on the mv volleyball team, so what we do to practice on our spikes is we stand on top of a box so we are taller then the net and we hit the ball so we get the feeling pumped up in our blood. have fun and good luck!

  3. Weights are your best bet, and drink milk. =)

  4. well,I was in a voleyball team before..and we had to throw the ball up and hit it against the wall, and we HAD to have our legs red at the end of practice,or we would have to try it again! So that is a good exercise, and try havin someone throw the ball to you and hit it,underhand,or overhand!

  5. You should really work on your agility. Making sure you can get on top of the ball for spiking is the key to a good spike. Exercises that build up your leg muscles and increase your vertical jump are excellent for spiking. For serving, I would say build up your arm strength, make sure your technique is good. Learn the different ways you can serve the ball and try to learn how to spot serve. Spot serving is great when your opponents has a weak player that cannot pass well.

  6. Find a good routine that will work your core as well as your shoulders.  Also, concentrate on your vertical leap, especially for the spiking.  Strong arms and shoulders will do well in both, but timing is absolutely key.  Practice, practice, practice until you can easily approach the ball with ease, knowing when to hit it.  It won't matter how strong you are if you can't get your timing down.

  7. lift lift lift

  8. take the ball in your hand, extend your arm out behind your head and throw it in front of you. also if u have a wall or sumthing to practice on, hit downballs so that they bounce right in front of the wall.

  9. Well besides getting your muscle stronger, also remember good stretching can help get you muscles flexible and make it easier to swing at the ball!

  10. serving: try to serve into a wall.....if you are contacting correctly then when you follow through the ball should go right back to your contact hand, everytime. hold the ball at eye level when placing your serve. and just simply place it up to make contact DO NOT THROW it up.

Serviing there are many things you can do: Do alot of down ball drills. (spikes without jumping) and just work on getting top spin on the ball. once you have that down, work on your footwork WITHOUT the ball. once you can get that down  have someone simply toss the ball up for you to work on your spikes. once you get all the mechanics down then have someone set for you.

Weights arent going to help with your power or spikes or serves. I have the skinniest arms ever on a volleyball player and i could hit a ball up around 65-70 mph its all about where you contact and your follow through and top spin, The only area that weights will really help you would be your abs, and legs. being able to crunch your stomach when you swing (getting full compression of your abs will help you get great downward force, and then get your calves built up and your thighs so you can get the most force and lift out of your legs so you can strike the ball at its highest point, you will get more kills that way!

    GOod luck
