Wat happens at an appointment to the gynecologist. plz help?

ive never been to the gynecologist be4 and do not know wat to expect. how will i know if he or she touches me in a way not necessary. and this is kind of embarrassing but i have orgasms pretty quickly so wat if i have an o****m while he or she is examining my v****a. wat should i do. can someone plz explain to me wat happens at the gynecologist.

They will explain everything before they do it. And nothing they do will hurt, it may feel uncomfortable, but don't forget they have done this many times. I doubt you would be able to o****m while a stranger is poking and prodding down there looking for something that is wrong with you. None of the things they do last a long time, maybe 1 min at most so just relax, and make sure you ask questions.

I have never heard of anyone having an o****m during a gyno exam. I don't think you should worry about it.

In medicine, a speculum is a device used to pull things apart or open.

A vaginal speculum will probably be used on you. A swab might be taken, which is exactly what it sounds like--a big q tip.

As far as unnecessary touch, there should be a nurse present during the exam, this keeps everything on the up and up.

Every woman has to go through this, so you are in plenty of good company.

Younger women often prefer a woman gyno, while older women seem to often prefer a man. Ask for whichever you feel comfortable with.

Well they usually tell you what they will do before or while they do what they do. If you get a male gyno then a female assistant should be with you and don't be afraid to ask for one.

Your dr should explain what they are going to do before or while they are doing it.  If they dont ask them what they will be doing.
