  1. http://www.mlmwatch.org/

Please go through this site before joining any mlm "opportunites".

    Good luck.

  2. ask anyone in your circle of friends who ever bought a MLM product.

    Pretty much tells the answer

  3. I think the first two messages have a wrong concept of MLM. If MLM doesn't work, why there are so many people made money from MLM. Btw, MLM is not to sell products to other, may be the MLM company you join or know are doing that, but actually MLM is to share to people on how their product help your health and finance if they do it as a business. Another thing, MLM doesn't mean you join first, you will early all the money that below you made, MLM have a system that benefit only those that work hard for their MLM business. and their downline can promote faster and high then you if they work double harder than you promote above you. And you will not be able to get the piece of cake your downline made.

So it is fair to all that join MLM. Is the worldly job you work have a fair treatment to your promotion? There is a saying "The person that work very hard, made a lot of mistake. But the one the work less hard, made lesser mistake. BUT the one the don't work, made NO mistake. AND they are the one that are promoted due to NO mistake they made, as long as they know how to act or curry favor their bosses. Is this fair?

Let me know, if you like to know more details about MLM.

    Cheers.

  4. MLM is Multi-Level Marketing and yes early producers can make a lot of money.  MLM is the practice of getting others to do your selling while taking an override for yourself.  Think Mary Kay, Amway, and Tupperware as the early adopters of MLM.  Recent new-comers are Party Lite, Pampered Chef, etc.

Now MLM can incorporate home products and demos as well as commercial products. The secret is recruiting and keep recruiting.  The more recruits selling - the larger your override becomes.

  5. In most MLMs, no real product is involved, or the product is usually something of no genuine value.

An MLM is very similar to pyramid selling, where how much you earn simply depends on how many people are "below you".

    For example...

    - A recruits B and C, and B and C each pay A $100 to become members of the MLM. A now has $200. A also tells B and C that no matter who they recruit under them, they must pay A 50% of their recruits' recruitment fee.

    - B then recruits D and E, who each pay B $100. B now has $200. But he must pay 50% of this to A. That means B now has $100, and he has broke even (because remember he paid $100 to A to join).

    - C then recruits F, G and H, who each pay C $100. C now has $300. But he must pay 50% of this to A. So C now has $150, which means C has made a profit of $50 since paying A the $100 to join.

    - A now has a total of $200 (B's and C's membership) + $100 (D and E's membership through B) + $150 (F, G and H's membership through C).

This could go on forever. Common sense would tell you that the person at the "top" earns the most, because he gets a share of whoever is "below" him, while the person right at the bottom is the loser who ends up paying for everything.

MLM does not actually generate any real business or income or product for the economy; it is basically just a transfer of cash from one person to another.
