Tricky question, Jeeps 2.8L is a V6, Chevy had a 2.8L V6 in older models which was a DOG, no power at all, but later Chevy 2.8L became 4cyl.s like in 2004 and newer, so my question to you is what type and year of vehicle do you have.  Would be glad to give you the correct answer with more info.  Just saw your answer being an S10.  That would make it the same crappy V6 my S10 had with an eye popping 150hp, LOL!!!

  3. Thats is a pretty small engine and it is probably a 4 cylinder.  You dont say what car manufacturer made the engine.

    since when where trucks about horsepower they always make lots low end torque for hauling and towing
