  1. Aerospace engineering is the branch of engineering behind the design, construction and science of aircraft and spacecraft. Aerospace engineering has broken into two major branches: aeronautical engineering and astronautical engineering. The former deals with craft that stay within Earth's atmosphere, and the latter deals with craft that operate outside of Earth's atmosphere. While "aeronautical" was the original term, the broader "aerospace" has superseded it in usage, as flight technology advanced to include craft operating in outer space.

Aerospace engineering is often informally called rocket science.

  2. aeronautical engineering...

something that deals with aircraft that stay within earth's atmosphere.

  3. engineering related to aerospace. Airplanes etc..

  4. study makes u know all about plane

  6. Ever since man fulfilled his long felt desire of 'flying' he aquired the knowledge of flying by experimentation (now that he can fly).

He learnt quite a few things. The first is Aerodynamics; how wind creates differential pressures over and under an 'aerofoil' and how he can get lift by increasing the pressure below it. How he can get lift (to overcome the weight) by converting part of forward thrust of a wing that overcomes the drag of the structure. How he can append another small surface aft of the main wing and to use it as a control surface. What Wilbur & Orville wright demonstrated was in fact, is how to 'control' flight; as many flew before them but with disastrous consequences. Finally the 3Aeronautical movements 'pitch', 'control & 'yaw' and how to co-ordiante and control these three. Finally they paid attention to power plant that delivers power for forward motion (thrust). It started as propeller driven by standard 4-stroke petrol engine till its final evolution of 'Jet' engine that burns the fuel as well as turns the turbine blades aerodynamically, purely based on Newton's third law.

All this is now compiled as 'Aeronautical Engineering' knowledge and is still evilving. The basic thinking and terminology is modelled after ship movement.

The art & science of rocketry heavily borrows from the propulsion principles while relying on aerodynamical principles.

  7. Aeronautical Engineering is an engineering branch with designing, constructing, analysing, testing, development and manufacturing of commercial and military air crafts, missiles, and spacecrafts. At B.E level, there won't be much detailed studies about design of aircraft and all. The bachelor's degree programme offers curriculum covering fundamentals of propulsion, electronics, automatic control guidance, theory of aerodynamics, structural analysis, materials science, and fluid dynamics.

  8. making of aeroplanes and their engines

  9. i don't know what it is but i think it's somehow related to rocket science...

  10. air travel engineering
