The best helmet is the one that fits you best, go to a local bike store (or a few for that matter) and try as many of them as you can. The one that feels best is the one that is best for you.

you should check out ebay for troy lee designs helmets, they are awesome; not only to look at but to ride in, i just recently bought one and i cant believe how good it feels on. but you should definately check out danscomp.com and jrbicycles.com and also go into your local bike shop and try some on to feel what fits the best.
