Wat is the difference between free EMT training and college?

Im joining a volunteer company and they actually sai dEMT and paramedic courses are free there because the city pays for them so there are more paramedics. So whats the point of goign to college for it? Suggestions needed

  1. In the employer-sponsored program, you only get the courses that directly apply to being an EMT.  There's little flexibility if you wanted to do something else.  If you go to college, you can also consider other areas, such as different types of therapists (physical etc.), medical technology or nursing.  All are in demand, so you are OK if you want to stick with EMT, but your future prospects are much more limited.


  2. JOIN THE VOLUNTEER COMPANY... if they are going to pay for your training.. there is no difference...

    as for myself, i done everything backwards, took classes, paid for myslef, then joined the volunteers,,

    the only thing in this area that collage will help you do is get a bs in science...
