Wat is the difference between self raising flour and wholemeal flour??

  1. As far as I know, Self raising flour has a raising agent added to it to make it rise when making cakes etc. Wholemeal flour includes the grain coating I believe it's not removed when the milling process takes place. But plain wholemeal flower doesnt contain the raising agent.  But you can get Wholemeal self raising flour.


  2. wholemeal flour hasn't had all the husk removed, not as refined as plain flour and s/r flour has had a raising agent, i think baking powder, added to it.
