             @ There are four wires to control the stepper motor and a wire for supply. The individual coil have the individual wire. But there are only two wires to control the simple motor.

    # Functional:

             @ Stepper motor can be turned at a specific angle. But normal motor is only for rotating, no step or angle control ability.

    # Usage:

             @ Simple is used in continuous running devices. On the other hand stepper motor is used in step by step controlled devices.

A stepper motor makes one small jump or step at a time, and then makes another, another, etc.  A regular motor makes continuous motion.  If you hold stepper motors on your hands, you can feel a rapid series of pulses that co-respond to the steps it is making.  The controls for a stepper often use an resistor-capacitor network to supply the pulse that causes the jump or step.
