  1. 80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions within the past years and a half:

    1. Life has no meaning

    2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.

To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is

    inevitable.....

  2. love

  3. In a strict scientific sense, the object of all life is procreation.  Taking a more philosophical stance, I would say the object of life is to reduce entropy (disorder).  It's a natural property of the universe for disorder to increase in time, until billions of years hence the universe consists solely of a thin cloud of nothing.  Life is the universe's (futile?) attempt to hold that back, to continuously try to draw itself back together before it reaches its end...

  4. To obtain power.

  5. Whatever you want it to be. enjoy it! don't allow yourself to be overcome by thinking about it. be true, just be.

  6. understand. seek. understand. seek. understand. seek. we never stop learning and never stop seeking.

  7. I "think" the .. wait, I mean the objective is to.. uh, sometimes you just feel that. ..

The purpose of life is to survive until your body gives out or something in the environment or someone kills you, and then you die.

Procreation is an aspect of life; a facet of life, but it is not the goal of life. Love is a facet, learning is a facet, but they're not the "aim of life".

ie; The aim of life is something everyone does. If a person dies before procreating, does that mean they weren't alive? Of course not! That's why procreation isn't an aim, it's just part of life.

  8. to serve God

  9. enjoy it to the fullest without hurting anyone.
