Wat is the point of surfer wax, and on a side note why did they call it s*x wax?

s*x Wax is just a creative name for it. It has no real rhyme or reason to it. It's like why do they call bubble gum Hubba Bubba?

And the point of surf wax is to create traction between the rider's feet and the surface of the board. It allows the surfer to stay on the board. :)

Wax helps with traction and grip on the board. A non-waxed board is practically impossible to paddle (especially in large surf)and difficult to stand on.

s*x Wax is a brand name. The name is effective because it catches your attention.

you put the wax on to help your feet stick to the board. called s*x wax as a marketing gimmick

wax on your board gives you something for your feet to grip. otherwise the surface of the board is slippery and you would loose your footing. its called s*x wax because thats the name of the company that makes that piticular brand of wax. there are many others. surfing rocks. try it.. its great

you need wax on your board to keep from sliping all over the place and better foot grip.

Can't answer the s*x wax question for sure but I am sure it is just a sales marketing technique.
