  1. depends on where you are. In the northeast ( New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, etc. ) the severe season starts in around May and goes till about October. In the south east, ( Florida, Georgia, The Carolina's, etc. ) severe season starts at around March and ends at around November. I'm not sure about the central or west though.

  2. It also depends on what severe weather you are talking about and what area as well.   Severe weather to a pilot could be strong winds and wind shear or turbulence.   Icing too.

  3. What severe weather, and where?  You need to be a little more specific.

  4. It depends upon the country climate but it start always on summer season & winter season & end on the last day of this two season.

  5. The energy found in the atmosphere that creates 'severe weather' is not the temperature but the difference of temperature between different air masses. The tropical zone remains about the same around the year. But the poles get very cold in the winter since they have a 'day' of six months and a 'night' of six months. Therefore one can expect to have stronger and deeper low pressures with stronger wind between the autumn equinox (Septembre) and spring equinox (March).

  6. it begins in any or all of the months when the wind moves it to do so...and conditions are right.

  7. Try this link http://www.nssl.noaa.gov/hazard/hazardma...

You just click on what you want to see (tornado, winds)

And then click on a part of the country

It will give you a graph showing the maximum and minimum severe weather times
