Hi,

The following are the trains to Raipur

1) Train no 6328- Korba express / Mail coming from trivandram and halt at coimbattur at 14.20hrs on every monday and thursday  and arrives at raipur on the next day night 22.45hrs

2) one more train from Chennai central starting on every monday

the train no is 2852 bilaspur express (superfast) and leaves chennai central by 21.10 hrs in the night and reaches raipur next day evening18.25hrs

This will be an ideal train because superfast train.

Incidentally the korba express also reaches chennai (going through chennai )on monday night 22.30hrs and leaves chennai central by23.15hrs because it is coming from west side (frm coimbattur)and changing over to north side(to raipur) Any way you can visit the web sites for further information and also decide about from where you want to travel either from coimbattur or chennai depending on your travel plan please visit www.irctc.co.in and www.indianrail.gov.in for further details.

i cannot tell you exactly but you can check the train name, trains timings, availability of seat and the fare on the site :

The above answer is correct - Korba Express (6328) goes from Coimbatore to Raipur in about 32 hours.

However, the timings have changed now.

It leaves Coimbatore a little later at 1440. It arrives at Raipur a little earlier 2235 the next day. So the train has gotten a little faster :-) This link will show you more details... http://indiarailinfo.com/train/map/951/4...

The other train Bilaspur Express (2852) is faster - only about 21 hours from Chennai. It leaves Chennai at the previous time of 2110 and arrives at Raipur a little earlier at 1815 the next day.  http://indiarailinfo.com/train/map/213/3...

always, always, confirm your train timings before departure, directly from the Indian Railways authorities. Directly phone them, and ask. that is always your definitive source. They are very arbitrary - they can cancel trains, divert trains, change train timings arbitrarily, and they won't even tell you!!! You HAVE to ask them.
