First of all to define a venture capitalist. He/she is someone who has a strong interest in investing money in a new, innovative, upstart company....or a new technology....and he bets that the company will be so successful that it willl go from small to large and yield high profits.  The venture capitalist can be an individual (a reach guy) or he be the leader of a group of investors (5 or 6 rich guys or more) and they pool their money and invest in that small company or technology.  Those are the venture capitalist's funds.  His monies invested in the company.
