Yes, people who are CCNA certified are highly sought after

The pay is very good but in order to maintain your cerification you have to be retested every 3 years.

The classes are online and I was going to take the test when I heard that I would had to be recertified every 3 years and I talked myself out of it. Now I wished that I had stuck with it. BTW, the classes are in 4 parts and the third class is the hardest. In the class you are thought virtual networks among others. The books that Cisco uses are rather confusing though. You might would to buy yourself a Windows Server 2003 Textbook. This book explains subnetting a whole lot better than what Cisco does and subnetting is the basics of the whole CCNA Course. Without knowing how to subnet the CCNA Courses will be a bear to learn.
