You should wear a dress. Warehouse, Kookai, and coast all have sales on. I don't know your size but i'd say something like this....

Dress as if you were going to a nice wedding; best idea a lovely dress or suit, sandals and a hat. I'm not sure if you have to wear a hat, but everyone does.

Debenhams, Monsoon and Coast do lovely outfits which would be great for Ascot.

Also, take a wrap or light jacket in case it gets cool.

stockings and suspenders would be nice.but apart from that.perhaps a nice flowery dress if its a sunny day.

Depends when you are going.  If you are going to a normal every day meeting then just wear something smart.  For Royal Ascot the dress code is more formal, but again it depends which enclosure you are going to be in.
