a milk snake for sure. but make sure its a locked lid, i just got a milk snake and it escaped but i found it later that night, fixed the cage and it escaped again...

Haha. You know what's funny? Out first when I read your question I thought you said, "Should I get a milk shake, or a spider?". I was about to be all, "Oh my gosh, another wierdo!". HAHA. Get a milk snake.

i have both of these so hopefully i'll be some help.

tarantula are good pets but if your looking for a pet with personality i would go with a snake.

Milk snake spiders have no personality whatsoever

snake definitely has the most personality because they recognize their keepers and realize when it's feeding or handling time

It depends. I have had both snakes and spiders. If you want a pet you can handle, I would choose the snake. You can handle some species of spiders, but they are all fragile. If you drop a spider (even one as large as a tarantula) it can rupture its abdomen and die from it. With spiders you don't have to worry about a heat lamp though.

I have snakes and tarantulas, snakes are much easier to handle and interact with. Tarantulas are better pets to just observe without handling.

I do still have over 40 tarantulas, lol.. I enjoy observing them, but, if you want a pet you can handle more often then I'd go with the milk snake..
