  1. yes

  2. Yes. You just say, "Well, I'm going to leave a tip." And put it down.

    I've done it many times.

  3. you leave the tip

  4. No. Don't go out with this person again.

  5. yes,I have gone up to the waitress and handed it to her before.

  6. Yes because these poor people don't make A lot of money and they were really trying to do a superb job to have a repeat customer. The waitress should be tipped when the jerk isn't looking.

  7. I'd tip them myself. Its all well and good if someones being nice to you but you can really tell their true character by how they treat others so I'd reconsider going out with them again.

  8. Yes, absolutely!  Discreetly leave some cash on the table...partially hidden under a plate, if you have to.

It could get tricky, however, if the friend paid and you didn't know how much the bill was.  In that case, make your best guess as to how much to tip.

  9. yes, definetly tip the waitress

  10. Don't hang around with this cheap basta again, unless the waitress or waiter did something wrong, even a 10% tip wouldn't hurt or $2.00.

  11. I would, and say, "Thank you very much for lunch/dinner - the tip is on me."

  12. I would.

  13. yes i have done that many times  keep this in mind if a person  is nice to you but not to a nice waitress that person isnt really a nice person

  14. yea i guess and tell the guy who treated in the first place that he sucks

  15. yes when no one is looking

  16. If someone takes me out, I always tell them that I am leaving the tip. It is the least I can do.

  17. I would...and I would consider if I wanted to go out with that person again.

  18. If you feel the waitress deserved a tip then tip them.

Not all people believe in tipping.

To many people today expect a tip for all types of service and it's not warranted.

I'll tip you when and if I feel like it, it is not my responsibility to pay for your employees.

Average service does not earn you a tip in my book.

  19. Leave a tip just under the edge of your plate when you get up.

  20. Yes, and totally when the other person is looking, first poster. Teach that person some manners! And avoid this cheapskate, illbred individual in the future!

(Oh, and stop writing all ghetto. It looks very unedumacated, is tired, and a total bummer.)

  21. I would say, "Thank you so much for dinner, let me take care of the tip."

That way, you don't have to offend the person who took you out and you can tip the waitress.

  22. Yes, you should leave a tip for the waitress. The person that you went with (was it a girl) sounds like they are either just cheap or jealous of something.

You never know what that waitress might be going through. Maybe she has 2 or 3 jobs and is trying to raise children.  Tipping is part of the meal and it's beyond rude for someone not to tip the waitress.

ps. I am not a waitress.

  23. Yes leave the table last and unobtrusively leave the tip
