i live with my grandparents now and neither one of them cooks. They usually just eat hardees or krystal in the morning and don’t eat for the rest of the day. So for me, dinner is either fastfood or a bowl of cereal. Im trying to cut back on fastfood but its hard because its convenient and fills me up alot more than a bowl of cheerios. Buying groceries for home-cooked meals is a pain because there is hardly any room in the fridge because my grandma doesn’t like to throw food away. Seriously, there is parmesan cheese there dating back to the early 90s!! eww and besides I cant cook anyways :)... so how do I deal??

  1. maybe you should cook for them and that you get to eat proper home cooked meals.

  2. Why does your gram have all that food in the fridge if they dont cook?? What you should do it get a couple kinds of lunchmeat, some bread, cheese, mustard and whatever you like on your sandwiches. Those are healthier than fast food and can still be prepared quickly. Get pickles and chips and stuff to make it nicer. Drink your milk so you dont get Osteoporosis!

  3. PEANUTBUTTER&JELLY SANDWICH!!! YUMM YUMM YUMM ITS GOOD FOR YOU!

  4. eat urself

  5. Hot Pockets and Easy Mac

  6. pasta is super easy, oatmeal, granola bars, fruit, veggies and ranch dip, steamed veggies, rice, sandwiches, salads, and eggs. They are all easy, you don't have to really cook, and you start to learn a few things on the way. I can't cook either but i hate fast food. This is what i do and hopefully eventually we will both learn how to cook. Personally I do not want my boyfriend/future husband to have to cook for me.

Plus none of this takes up too much room.

  7. When going to fast food restraunts try to stick to salads with grilled meat in them, or eat sandwiches (not fried) with whole wheat bread.  Three main things give you that full feeling: Fat (stay away from fatty food), protein (meats, milk, eggs), fiber (whole wheats, beans, green vegi's).  Eat protein, but not too much since protein does contain larger amounts of fat, try to get most of your diet from foods high in fiber, they tend to have less carbs and fat in them, plus they help you digest better.

  8. Clean out the fridge. Then buy groceries, it will be cheaper than buying fast food all the time and much healthier

  9. you can buy cooked chicken breast, brown instant rice, some canned or frozen string beans and that's one meal, i guess it depends on what you like to eat. Do you like salads, seafood, etc.?

  10. try making a green been casserole.  they may even start eating something different.

  11. salad

  12. You need a few "frozen dinners" that you can microwave or purchase those meals in a can/box that all you do is microwave.  Think of it as "College Dorm Food".

One of my favorites is Beanie Weenies.  It's a serving of hot dog and baked beans in a small can for about $.99.   You can get Mac-n-Cheese to make and some Ready-to-Serve Soups too.

Please do your folks a favor and rid the house of expired food items.  Maybe you can just throw out one or two things each day without them taking notice.  Food poisoning can kill and will certainly make most people very sick.  Don't risk it.  Give old food stuff the Toss.

  13. Sushi, fast and healthy

  14. there is the deli at the grocery store that you could go to. There is probably healthier food there. I think Safeway makes sandwiches, has deli food, chinese food, and more...

you could also go to subway and get the $5 sub, half for dinner and half for lunch maybe...

  15. Well i would say learn to cook something you like and enjoy to eat. Like for example I love to eat pasta and well i learned how to make it by reading the instructions on the box and it was easy and with already made tomato topping in a class jar. that i can heat up I have a good meal. Another thing you could do is maybe go out to a restaurant and eat there. Not a fast food on tho. You could also ask some friends if they know how to make anything like pasta or mac and cheese. I know this might be the dumbest idea but go take a cooking class. a basic one or what ever level of cooking you want. So yeah either find something a the store you can easily make but is not fast food or ask someone for some ideas or if you really really want to take a class. WELL HOPE THIS HELPS> :)

  16. It is tough to eat healthy when your choices are limited so here is a great tip for ya!

Fast food restaurants are having to be more health concious due to recent government decision...there are lots of foods you can get at fast food joints now that are pretty healthy.

At hardees for instance grab you a grilled chicken sandwich and lose the bun.

ANything grilled will be healthy! Just lose the breading, since it is high in carbs that you don't need with all the protein in the meat.

ALso if you go shoppoing grab some deli meats and tortilla wraps (wheat preferably)...this can make you a quick snack on the go...also try putting penut butter and chopped up bannana and apple in a wrap...it is high in fiber and protein!
