Wat up? this question has to do with my money, mom and surf camp...

Question

hey! i really want to go to surf camp but its $300 (not counting gas money) and my bro is goin off to a private college. earlier my mom said she would pay for it and that i would have to pay 4 some of it, so now that my bro is moving out, all of a sudden (when i ask her to sign me up) she says she thinks she cant afford it! so im not too happy bout that. not to mention i REALLY HATE spending my money. so how much do u think i should pay? what do u think i should say to her when i ask her again? and she says that surf board r expensive and she said that after camp id have to buy a board and too expensive. we live an hour away from da beach, we dont go to the beach that often so she asks me when would i go surfin and i tell her that we would go more often.

you should get at least half of the entrance fee and half of the board money without telling her, then when you bring up the topic, and she says it's too expensive, tell her that you already have half of it done and ready, this will show her that you are determined to go and that you are responsible. She may not want to let both of you go at the same time because she feels like she's already losing your brother, so just talk to her about that, and tell her you'll call her everyday and make sure you do when you get there. i like your answer a lot, it helped. And glad to hear your a believer, umm, put it this way, I live in the middle of nowhere practically. And I would "love" to surf, but where I live that doesn't happen. I hope you can get the money, ask your mom nicely and maybe shell agree, and get some money. I hate parting with money, but you could get a job, they take up extra time, and could help you. And oh yeah love Romans, best book in the Bible (to me.) You must like Grace, cause I love it. Anyway I am not going to lie,surfboards are pricey!

But when you pay for your own things your gonna feel good about yourself that you did it with your own money!

Just save up some money and pitch in whatever you want.

umm well you could just pay for the board and the camp or half...cuz thats what i do im even buying my own guitar...(im 14) i dont like to spend my money either but if you really want to do it then pay for it yourself...and i get your user name...=)

i would suggest that you would pay for the surf board(s) if she sayd no to that then say .... " but mom you said before that you would pay for it and i was really looking forward to it but now all of a sudden your telling me that NO you cant pay for it that really got me down."
