  1. If they both mass a pound then lead will weigh more because air buoyancy will make the feathers weigh less.

  2. The answer: the same.

The explanation: because gravity pushes on the feathers and on the lead at the same acceleration.

  3. they weigh the same silly!

  4. hmmmmm,,,,,,sounds the same weight to me

  5. This is a loaded question. I mean you have to think of this question as the glass half empty or the glass half full. Either way you look at it they are both equal.

  6. There's another answer to this question. Metals (usually precious or semi-precious metals) are weighed with Troy pounds, while the standard 16oz pound we generally use is called an avoirdupois pound. A Troy ounce weighs more than an avoirdupois ounce, but the averdupois pound weighs more.

One troy ounce is exactly 31.1034768 g

    One troy pound is ≈ 373.24 g

The international avoirdupois ounce is exactly 28.349523125 grams by definition

One avoirdupois pound is 453.592368 grams

  7. Tricky question - they're the same.  The mass amount is different.

  8. They weigh the same.  Their mass is the same.  Their density is not the same.   Their resistance to moving in air is not the same.

  9. They weigh the same...but a pound of Yahoo Answers weighs less!!
