i might be gettin a duck but i would need a temporary cage till i can get the right cage right now they a 6 weeks old wat type of temporary caging could be used i heard that a guinea pig cage would do

Is it a miniature duck? You need a cage no less than 2&#039; x 2&#039; x 4&#039;.  That is minimum for a duck. You should be thinking, backyard for the duck. A hamster cage might be OK for a couple of newly hatched ducklings, not a six week old duck. It is nearly full grown at six weeks of age. Maybe all that he lacks is a full set of feathers. You will kill the duck with claustrophobia in a hamster cage, if he will even fit in there. LOL

The guinea pig cage is okay for now.  Get bedding for the bottom like pine shavings or ...what ever you can buy.
