  1. Move over out the way as best you can if they aren't after you. If you are the centre of their attention turn left (on green) and pull up as quickly and safely as possible. That way you don't block the junction and pee everybody else off.  I've experienced both in the last 18 months. Looking forward to seeing the first one on "Police Camera Action" (it was a chase). The second was due to the fact the PNC insurance database wasn't up to date and it said I wasn't insured when in fact I was.

  2. yeah

Use your hazard light & Get out of their way as safely as possible.

  3. best answer: stay where you are, 2 hands on the wheel, radio down, seatbelt on tight and look innocently straight ahead hopefully its not for you this time :)

  4. put my hands in the air and shout ''whatever it was - it wasn't me'' and hope for the best

  5. never make a turn, stay where you are or go straight and pull to the side when it's safe to do so.

  6. mve utthe way

  7. There is always enough room to move out of the way, you don't need to go through a red light, just move to one side or the other to let the police car by.

  8. try and move out of the way carefully it may be a child that needs help

  9. Move over and wait till they pass, what else would you do ???

  10. Anything safe to get out of their way. Even if it involves crossing the stop line a bit or pulling onto the kerb. Always indicate to let them know what you are going to do.

  11. pull up at the next oportunity

  12. Well, you shouldn't go through the red light, and the police driver wouldn't expect you to.

Get out of the way if you can (and if you have to - I've seen people drive up on to the kerb, even when they weren't IN the way to start with), if not, move as soon as the light turns green.

In other words, just drive like you'd normally drive - but quickly.

  13. Get out of their way as safely as possible.

  14. Same as you should do any other time a police car comes up behind you with the lights on..........

GET OUT OF THE WAY AS QUICKLY AND SAFELY AS YOU CAN!!!

It is still the law in most locales.

  15. Remain stationary after the lights turn green or until the police car passes you, or instructs you to take other action.

  16. If safe to do so, get out of the way.Sometimes it just isn't possible, Police drivers are trained to drive through traffic at speed if they can, sometimes it's safer to let them get round you.

  17. i would just move forward a little so there is enough room for the police car to get through

  18. If they were on green I would drive on.Ha Ha

  19. Legally, if the lights are red, you do not have to do anything. This has been tested in court. It is only a courtesy to move out of the way. If you did go through the red and there is a camera, you WILL get nicked.

  20. BARROWMAN answered this succinctly. although he could have added pull over to pavement if needed.

  21. try and move to the side or just wait until it is safe to go.

  22. Move on but signal left to pull over if it is safe to do so.
