I just saw the newest one! Did you think it was good ?

Just thought it was weird a little voo-doo doll could cause so much rukus!

I did watch it.  It's a fun show, but I don't beleive it's documentary in the same way that Ghost Hunters is.  I think Ghost Hunters is more skeptical and more careful with what they do, and Paranormal State is moderatelty more entertaining and less objective.  Both enjoyable programs, however.

Those shows crack me up because they have all this sophisticated equipment and never catch anything on camera but still are able to make a show around it.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH "FOXFIRE" (above).  The thing that really ticks me off is when they're listening for something and the stupid music keeps playing!  That's over dramatization at it's worst!  Ghost Hunters and Most Haunted are all guilty of the same thing!

If ghosts were real surveillance cameras would be catching them constantly!

Even if ghosts were real it's totally ludicrous to imagine that you are going to document a ghost at a location by spending ONE NIGHT there!  Hauntings are not that frequent!  And when people claim that hauntings are frequent and almost predictable how is it they never have any video to proof any of it!?

Further more, TV ghost hunters are ignorant!  I have seen so many of them using EMF meters - IMPROPERLY!  They walk around swinging them left and right getting an occasional "spike".  Duh!  That's NORMAL when you're walking with an EMF meter!  These meters are designed to be used in a stationary position or with very slow and gentle movement!  I laugh everytime I see these clowns using a meter.  To use them properly a base-line reading must be established and recorded at different times of day at any given location.  This establishes what "the norm" is for that location.  I can't tell you how many times my meter picked up "a ghost" only to further discover that it was caused by a completely normal source.  Not a ghost at all!  There's always a logical explaination for a meter spiking.  You just have to patiently seek out the source which few "paranormal investigators" take the time to do!  99% of spikes are falsely associated with paranormal activity for the simple reason that the meter user didn't read the intructions that came with the meter!  It's not rocket science!  A two year old could properly use them!  Most TV "paranormal investigators" are seen using the AC EMF meter which doesn't even pick up human  (natural) energy!!!!  (It is only useful for detecting and identifying AC energy fields (man-made) which can be the cause of emotional distress and hallucinations under high levels of prolonged exposure which could explain why certain people feel "haunted".)

I have many issues with Paranormal State, it's not a true documentary, the people play to the cameras, they add ooky-spooky special effects which damage their credibility and they use a TV "medium" whose demeanor and credibility I very much suspect.  Also their involvement with the Psychic Kids show which is just awful.  They take scared, confused, kids and put them in emotionally charged situations and places and freak them completely out all along promising to help them but once the cameras stop rolling they drop them.  Again with all the spooky special effects and screaming to eliminate all credibility and using the same TV personality who doesn't calm or educate the children but freaks them out even more.  Especially since I know they had an opportunity to work with a fabulous group that helps children in these situations but required that it be done documentary style, that there be no putting the children in dangerous or scary situations and that the special effects be tasteful and necessary and also no Chip Coffey.  Instead they decided to do another Paranormal State type show that truly does more to damage the reputation of paranormal studies and investigation than anything else.

For reasons like that is the exact reason I stay far away form voo doo. Not saying all of it is bad or anything, just its not for me. I like Paranormal State and think they do a great job finding out what is going on.
