  3. Usally on ESPN cause its the sports channel

  4. You'll find there is a lot of volleyball on TV. The problem is that good indoor games are usually on late at night. Another issue is that some providers are much less about volleyball than others. I have DirecTV and Tivo so I see a lot of Volleyball but some cable providers don't have the channels. However,

AVP (Summer) - AVP usually has finals of their weekend tournament stops on Sundays on NBC and sometimes FOX. The Sunday shows are a week old because they need time to edit. AVP is probably the most accessible volleyball on TV.

Women's College (Fall)- There is a lot of women's college volleyball on TV. Each conference has it's own station and you can catch a lot of action if you can get the channel. For instance, I get Big Ten Sports Network so I can see Wisconsin playing Penn State, etc.

Women's college is also on Fox Sports Net. Since I have the sports package on DirecTV, I get all FSN regions. You may just be able to get one, but it's better than nothing. Again, these matches are usually played at night.

Men's College Volleyball (Spring) - Men's is just like Women's, you just need to start looking later at night  and on FSN or a conference station, like Big Ten Network.

National Team FIVB competition (Summer, Fall) - The FIVB league has televised games on ESPNU. The games usually involve pool play and you can catch some great action.

Olympics (Summer/Winter bi-annually) - Olympic Volleyball is a great chance to see volleyball on TV. The problem is it is usually late at night and they edit the games so you see maybe game 1, the end of game 2 and you miss the first half of the third. This needs to change but it's beyond the scope of what I am able to change.

There are also a lot of tournaments and leagues (Paul Mitchell classic, etc.) That are televised sporadically.

If you are a true volleyball fan and have access to some cach, I would definately invest in a TiVo-like device and let it find volleyball for you. For instance, I set my TV to record anything with Volleyball in the title or info. This of course records anything having to do with volleyball, like the movie "Sideout" but I can just delete it if it's not something I like.

If you don't have the cash, try looking for information from the stations I mentioned above in your area. You might even call them and ask them for a volleyball program guide.

I know the feeling though, even with what I see, I wish there was more. Sometimes I wonder why ping pong gets more airtime than volleyball, it makes no sense.
