    Sure you can watch DVDs on your computer if you get a DVD drive.

    Your drive will come with software to let you play DVD movies and there is all kinds of free players available.

    The response is good and the picture quality will be as good as on a TV.

    I watch movies on my laptop while I am traveling. It makes a long plane trip a lot shorter.
