I drive a 99' Ford Escort that has a 6CD changer which is located in the trunk of the car, but the actual part you put the cd's in isn't there any more, what is that part called and where can I find a new one?

  1. CD Magazine. Try looking for it on Ebay or go to a junkyard. Now there were only a few Escorts that had the 6 CD Changer.


  2. it's called a magazine, and you can google it, I'm pretty sure that fords use Clarion CD changers.

    Try things like

    Ford Escort CD Changer magazine

    99 Escort CD magazine... etc

    It should give you the CD changer maker and where you can get parts for it.  generally they're like 30-40 bucks.
