Ok... I'm getting a projector and i was wondering since i will have a 16:9 screen, what would happen to my picture if i watched SD cable which is 4.3. Would i just be letter boxed and still have the picture on my screen. Or will the picture leak onto my wall above the screen. I hope this makes sense. Help is greatly appreciated.

Oh and this is the projector that i am getting.

  1. I think what you will end up with is 4:3 within a 16:9.

So if your screen is (for example) 160cmx90cm, you'll get a height of 90cm, and a width  of 120cm. You will most likely have to make aspect ratio selections for your cable box and/or projector to achieve the above result, but I am sure it's doable, and this is the best you can aim for.
