Watching downloaded videos on a DvD!!?

Question

My DvD discs don't read AVI format and I don't want to watch them on Windows Media Player and would rather watch them on my Xbox, is there any way to convert them into Mpeg or something?

I am not sure about format supported by Xbox.

I know of an appl nemed Wondershare Video to DVD Burner.It can convert various vieo((AVI, MP4, MPG, MPEG, 3GP, WMV, ASF, RM, RMVB, DAT, MOV) to dvd.

You can use it to burn a DVD , and play the dvd on Windows Media Player.
