Watching the marathon.........rather drunk....any1 else???

god there crazy....TOTAL RESPECT...*sip*........why do the commentators keep giving them gyp for running faster than normal, if they wanna go for it then bloody well let em run!!! Will the world record go...??? who will win....place your bets............NOW!!!!.....

well we have 2 things in common... we are both drunk and we are both watching the marathon. also i was wondering that myself, why are they saying they are going too quick?... i thought the point of it was to go as fast as possible lol. my money is on that kenyan dude (his name escapes me atm) enjoy the rest of the race : )

There is no officially recognised world record in marathons. This is because unlike running events taking place in the athletics stadium, where the track is always of identical regulation dimensions and perfectly flat, marathons are on different courses. Different cities have different features, for example inclines, different surfaces (part of the London marathon is run over cobbles with a narrow carpet on top.) Fir this reason, there is no real record.

Not sure why the TD, but to stand comparison for record purposes, every marathon would have to run on a perfectly identical course, with topographic features like hills in all the same places, same surfaces, all the bends and turns in all the same places.

we gave up on boredom and changed the channel.  If that's all NBC has to show, they lost this household.  It equals watching paint dry.
