Watching these pratice games, have any of you haters gained any respect for Kobe's abilities and Defense????

I have been watching and Kobe has been playing the best D on the team. He is also playing a excellent team style game, setting up the young stars like Wade and Lebron for the shots. It looks to me like they aree all having fun playing together. I hate the Celtics but I still think KG should be there. He is the best USA PF in the game hands down.

Kobe has always been a great defender but every1 looks at the offensive side. Kobe set the tone in todays game and thts why hes the best

I think everybody knows that Kobe is a great talent. He can do things most people can't. But he is incredibly obnoxious, he's selfish (but getting better), and he is easier to hate on than to cheer for. I think he's been getting better over the years, but he still has a way to go before he gains more respect.

Kobe had plenty of chance to gain my respect while playing against Detroit in 2004, Phoenix in 2006 and 2007, and Boston this year in the Finals.  If he couldn't get it done then, why should I give him respect just because he's abusing freaking Canada, Turkey and Lithuania, all the while playing alongside the best players in the NBA?
