Water Balloon Launcher: 300 yds?

Can those water ballon launchers that require 3 people to operate shoot up to 300 yards depending on the length of the sling? I want to buy one for this summer and I live out on a huge acre farm and was wondering if these supposed "300 yard" slings actually worked???

300 yards-I doubt it. Look a football field. Can a small rubber ballon with about 13 oz of water sail that far?
