Water Evaporation's effect on plants?

the effect of water evaporating from leaves is called transpiration. would Plants grow better with less leaves and buds? Also notes that transpiration is when water evaporates form leaves.

  1. I don't think plants would be better off with fewer leaves or buds.  These parts are necessary for growth and food production.  Transpiration is usually compensated for with absorption of water from the soil.  It's a normal process and necessary for drawing water up through the plant.
