Water Fast, Help?????

I want to go on a sorta diet like thing this week starting tommorow, [ monday ] . um basically all id be doing is JUST drinking water for the whole week, no food other than MAYBE fruit. cause i need to lose some serious weight. and i know your gonna say EXCERCISE TOO., and i will i have cheer practice every day 3 hours each day in the morning.

yeah, so is that okay?

  1. Wow thats very stupid. By not eating anything you will slow down your metabolism. So when you eat normally again you will gain a lot of weight because your body will not digest food as fast and it will be converted into fat.

    Just go on a normal diet and exercise too. It might take longer but you will actually keep the weight off in the long run.  


  2. That's what i am doing. But you will have to drink so much water and not so much fruit. But don't be strict with you body cause if your body gets hungry it will eat you insides. No joke.

This would be a poor decision considering that if you drastically cut your intake of calories your body will go into what is called starvation mode and it will begin to burn muscle and build up fat stores (read about it at http://www.netwellness.org/question.cfm/... So, you will lose weight but become less fit in the process. Since you are exercising so vigorously the best plan of action if you feel you really need to lose weight, and you only need to do so if your BMI is above the recommendation for your height. The best plan of action is to eat a balanced diet and eat the recommended number of calories per day, which will allow your metabolism to speed up. Drinking just water is very dangerous for your body.  Not only will you quickly tire yourself out, but you will pass out at practice from lack of proper nutrients and you are exposing your body to all sorts of dangers.  Even in a one week period (especially if you are active) you need to take in enough calories to support that activity.  You did not state your age so I am assuming you are around 15-16.  For your age you need to take in abt 1600 calories per day.  Losing serious weight has to be done sensibly, if not you will just gain it right back once you stop fasting.    So please rethink this drastic plan before you hurt your body.  Good luck!

  6. DEFFO NOT!! Never starve yourself you gain the weight back really quickly.. MAYBE EVEN MORE, please don't do this just try eating healthy things and sticking to 2000 cals a day, in the long term you will fell and look great, there is absolutely NO good reason for you to starve yourself to lose weight chances you wont lose any anyway as your body would go into survival mode and keep your fat and just feast on your lean muscle so you would be heavier and weaker so please please please don't do this. I feel so strongly about this.

    your body needs something substanstal considering your practicing three hours a day.

    you need fruit adn veggies

    that wont make u loose wait if u just drink water

    and yeah u need to exersise.
