Water Intoxication??

I gradually started drinking 2 liters of water over a period of 7 hours(in my office) for healthy skin, weight loss. That is excluding the glass of water I drink after I wake up every morning and the water I drink after my dinner. Sometimes I also consume green tea/chrysanthemum in the afternoon and milk(want which needs me to mix with hot water) before bed on top of the 2 liters of water. Is that too much water that I am drinking? Am I anywhere near water intoxication? Oops

  1. I think I heard that you can die from drinking 3 gallons of water in a short amount of time.  You are obviously nowhere near that, but I would say you are drinking too much anyway.  There are many studies out there that have evidence that drinking water doesn't give you healthier skin (obviously you still need water for many reasons).  I would try to cut back on the water just a lil.  It's pretty ironic that you are drinking that much to lose weight, because water actually weighs quite a lot.  The recommended serving is about 8 glasses a day, and going over that amount isn't going to be better for you.  If you are doing physical labor in the african desert for 12 hours a day, I would gladly advise you to drink a lot of water, but that's not what it sounds like to me.  Try to stick to 10 glasses over the period of the entire day to mantain a healthy amount.
