  1. i am a water polo player my self and you could really play with what you fell comfortable with but the only real reason you wear the speedos is because there is players that would cheat by pulling on your shorts and if you wear the speedos they cant greb them and if you are shy dont be because it would only feel embarrising for like 2 days then you will forget about it then you wont be shy anymore. take the advice from a guy that is 6'2 and 250 pounds "Gollie".

  2. Unless you're playing with an actual team that requires a uniform, you could wear pretty much what you want.  A suit like the one in the link in not necessary because you're not worried about water resistance. In the olympics, the guys wear speedos and no shirt, but for just playing, wear whatever you would feel comfortable in.  You wont be doing alot of sprinting, but you will be doing alot of treading water, which is very strenuous after a few minutes.

  3. Ok, as an experienced water polo player (7 years under my belt) I would not wear this, even if you are overweight. Trust me... just wear the speedo. The only time you will be made fun of is if you wear these. Don't worry, there are a lot of big guys that play water polo, and as long as you play big in the water and not like a little girl, you will be respected.

Trust me, just wear the speedo. I promise you it'll be okay. We always made fun of the guys who wore jammers, and I don't want people to make fun of you for wearing those.

    JUST TRUST ME!!!

  4. Talk to your coach, but I am sure it would be fine.
