  1. A quick shower can save about 40 gallons compared to a bath.

  2. baths. you don't need so much water to clean your self. most of the water used for baths get thrown on to the floor without even hitting your body.

  3. Taking a bath uses much more water than a shower.  However, for those of us who enjoy and occasional soak with a good book; priceless!  <G>

  4. Water consumption for taking a bath would depend on the size of your bath tub and how much you fill it up.

Water consumption for taking a shower would depend on how long you stay in the shower.

However, unless you stay under the shower all day, taking shower use less water.

To further reduce water consumption, you can also install "low flow shower head" or "eco shower head".

  5. depends on the length of your shower.  My showers use very little water because I get myself wet and then turn the water off and turn it back on when all soaped up.  These showers are popular in the navy because out at sea it requires alot of fuel to heat and get the salt out of the water.

  6. I think you should do baths and reuse the water multiple times that way you can save even more water.
