I foolishly left my digital camera in a bag where there was a water bottle. The water bottle opened and dumped most of its contents into the bottom of my bag drowning my poor camera. I, never experiencing this before, took out my memory card & tried turning it on. I've heard that I shouldn't have done this but am still holding out hope that my camera will work. What can i do to help it? it is a casio exilim btw.

  1. Dropping and drowning are the leading killers of digital cameras. You've added your camera to the list.

Since you're going to be shopping for a new camera, I suggest the Olympus Stylus 850SW. Its waterproof to 10' and shockproof to a 5' drop.

  2. If you turned it on while it was wet, it's toast. Get another camera...they're cheap.

  3. Wipe it off and turn it on. If its dead, you need a new camera.
