My passport has some water damage. Nothing is torn or damged. Never been used before. I am leaving the country Thursday. Do you think I will have a problem? It is my honeymoon.

  1. I would think that as long as the pages are ok and especially the front page with your information and bar code are alright you should be ok.

What exactly do you mean by water damage, but it's not damaged????

  2. No, as long the front cover (photo attach portion) is not torn apart or ink smear and most importantly the identify code is still there. You can put your passport in a ziplock bag or something to prevent it happens again the next time you go overseas.

  3. It is better to go to the issuing office and ask if it's ok to travel with it like that, something that you can't realize it's important for them might be distroyed and you'll have difficulties leaving the country.

  4. Could well be a problem in the U.S.
