  1. i hav no idea

  2. As a lifeguard and swimming instructor of 7 years, my professional advice is anything in the water is going to help you lose weight. aqua jogging - find a friend and a float belt (noodles work too) and just "jog" in the deep end of the pool. Keep your fingers together to create more resistance, punch the water, use high knees or straight legs. These can also be done in the shallow end. Jumping jacks, swim laps..the list can go on. Pretty much anything you can think to do on land CAN be modified to do in water. If you can't find anything on the web, see if there is a YMCA near you - they offer water aerobics and if you don't want to pay I'm sure they can give you work out sheets.

  3. Two exercises that i always love::

    >>Get into the corner of a pool of chest-high water. Place your arms on the pool deck and hold the edge with your hands. Raise both legs to a foot below the water surface and swing them 10 times from left to right, touching the sides of the pool. Rest and repeat a few more times until you cant go on. If corners are not available, the sides of the pool will do as well, and you get a greater workout with longer leg swings.

    >>After a rest of 10 mins or so doing the above exercise, begin the 'running on the spot' exercise. Pump with your hands and raise your knees as high as possible. Try for 15-30 secs with fast motions, stop and rest 3mins. Do as many repetitions as you can manage.

The wonderful thing about these water aerobics exercises is that you wont get injuries and you wont get heat exhaustion. At the same time you get great workout in cool comfort. Enjoy!

  4. Anything!

Every excersize in the water is effective.

Why not do a variety of things to keep you interested.

Keep up the excersizes for 25 - 45 mins.

The more muscles & joints you use the better.

Be imaginative make you own routine up!

    :-D
