Question:

Water foundation issue! Help!?

Okay, I have a bedroom in my house that I sleep in. While cleaning the other day, I noticed a puddle of water under the bed. Granted, it was a memory foam mattress directly on the laminate floor.

Variables it cannot be:

-I have good gutters.

-I never had flooding before (and we had a DELUGE for about a month... I'm hoping it's just the aftermath of that), and I had this place for 8 months before I even had a floor.

-I put down the mattress as per the usual (after everything had dried for a day) and did not sleep on it. It is NOT my perspiration (and if you accuse me of wetting the bed, I'll neg your answer on principal), as it was almost as wet without me.

-My foundation has no cracks that I haven't sealed a long time ago.

-I installed vapor barriers (no padding) and the laminate floor myself.

My only thought is that it could just be humidity. Is there some other possibility I may not know about?

Thanks so much.

  1. you got it,  condensation from direct contact with the floor, you need air circulation to disperse the condensation
